Project description	The Mayo General Hospital (MGH) Ireland -Londiani District Hospital (LDH) Kenya institutional partnership began in 2009, with the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding. This partnership began with Friends of Londiani (FOL), a local NGO, facilitating the relationship between the two health institutions, much the same as it had done previously for school partnerships. The Mayo-Londiani partnership focuses on using evidence-based approaches and reciprocal education to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
